I had so much fun at the Superbowl this year. The highlight was playing in the Direct TV Celebrity Beach Bowl. I never thought I’d ever get to play in a football game – especially with pro athletes. Somehow, I received the MVP award, even though our team didn’t win. I think it’s because Tom Arnold tackled me and then I retackled him! Here’s a video of me and Warren Moon warming up.

I promise I’m not trying to be an HBO sports commercial, but have you been watching HBO’s 24/7 about the Floyd Mayweather vs Juan Manuel Marquez fight? It documents both fighters’ lives during their training. It shows some pretty extreme methods for getting in shape for their upcoming fight. Marquez especially goes to some pretty unusual steps: drinking 26 quail eggs, drinking his own urine ( not joking ) and sitting in a hyperbaric chamber after workouts. I thought I was dedicated when I work out before the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show-but these guys take it to a whole other level. It is motivating to see how committed they are and what the body is capable of. Floyd is crazy fast with that jump rope! You can watch episode 1 on the HBO website.

My favorite show on TV right now…
Hard Knocks-Training Camp with Cincinnati Bengals on HBO is the best thing on TV right now. If you love football, you’re probably already watching it-but even if you don’t, watch it. HBO does the best documentary-style shows. Watching this show makes me appreciate what every player goes through and how the team comes together. My favorite player is Ochocino (Chad Johnson) He is so funny and amazing to watch. Did anybody see him kick during the Patriots game? Kiss the baby….

It is a sad day in music history- the great Les Paul past away on August 13th. He created one of the best guitars known to man. Here is a photo of him and a photo of Slash (one of my heros) with his guitars.
