I just got back from New Orleans and all of the Mardi Gras festivities. Wow, what a city! I was working with Captain Morgan on the First Mate Fund and we presented a check to the Louisiana SPCA for $25,000. The First Mate Fund is a great initiative that Captain Morgan and I started back in November. We have a fun way for everyone to get involved and help us raise money, it’s called our One Million Poses challenge. For every person who submits a photo of themselves striking the Captain’s stance on The Captain Morgan USA page on Facebook, we will donate one dollar to the First Mate Fund. We are trying to get one million poses this year. That means one million dollars to charity! Throughout the year, we select a different charities to work with. For the month of February and based around the Super Bowl, it was the Grid Iron Greats. During Mardi Gras week we chose to benefit the Louisiana SPCA.

Yay! Happy Mardi Gras! New Orleans is one of my favorite places…Live in Houston, TX but make it over there at least 3 times/year. Next trip in April for French Quarter Festival. Loved the pix and your commercial for the Cap’n. The late night talk show appearance was great too. Got to see the real Marissa. Laissez le bon temps rouler!
