Happy New Year!
Hope everyone had an awesome time over the holidays.
I spent most of the time hanging out with family, catching up with friends, watching football, trying out new recipes and catching up on much needed sleep!
I really enjoyed the time off especially because I adopted an Italian greyhound puppy and she needed undivided attention. The only exercise I’ve done since mid-December is walking her- which counts right?
Her name is Lula and she is the best thing ever!! She’s teething right now and missing her two front teeth- so cute!
So yes, I’m going to be the weird dog person and post photos of her. I know anybody who has a dog will understand;)
Today is dry in Northern Cal so I’m off to ride my Nightster…
Lots of love,
XoxoMarisa

Welcome to world of being a Fur Mama! It’s the best! Walking does count and is a MUST with a dog! I am studying to be a dog trainer/behaviour consultant. Exercise is #1! I’d also highly recommend reading some Cesar Milan books. He is my hero!
Enjoy your pup! She is beautiful. AND THANK YOU for adopting, not shopping, for a pet. 10 million dogs died in shelters in the US alone last year. Good for you for adopting! xoxo
Marisa, thanks so much for sharing your photos of Lula with us– she is beautiful. Nothing is more rewarding than adopting a pet, especially a greyhound, and experiencing the joy and love of that bond. Hope to see many more photos of Lula and you like these.
hahaaaaa lol look at her face lol
everything you teach her now is what she’ll be for the rest of her life.
very cute, happy new year to you both
Hi Marisa….
I love you soooo much!!!
You’re very very beautiful. I’m your fan.
I’m Alex and I’m from Brazil.
I have a pet….she’s very important for me. She’s 13 years old but she’s very happy and much young yet.
Good luck with your pet….she’s pretty.
(sorry about my English….I’m learning in the US).
Lots of love.
XOXO
It’s always good to let go/unload. Just spend time with the family!
I was going to say that, if your dog is doing the pulling, that would be exercise but, I think she needs to grow a little to give you a good workout!
Ride safe!
Congrats on your recent addition. My wife and I have 2 rescued German Shepherds and they are very entertaining. The rescue group should provide a wealth of information to any questions you have.
Motorcyclists and dogs are a natural fit. Our male shepherd is well known on the rally circuit.
It is very nice to have such a stretch of dry days in January and I am also enjoying bonus dry riding time.
Hi Marisa and Happy New Year from me too !
Adorable photos, good to hear you spent time with your family.
Regardless, it’s nice you got Lula Lee now
The dog looks cute although have to admit I wish it was a cat since I am a total ‘cat person’/'cat lover’ and totally prefer cats over dogs.
I really enjoy photos where you can see a bit of California as well like 2nd and 3d you posted.
Thanks for the update !
xoxo Julia
Omg she must be the cutest I’ve ever seen! So happy for you. In my early years of my life, we had two greyhound, and both of them loved to exercise. So take them with you while you run, cause Lula Lee will sertainly love it!
Totally understand! I have a rotti and I take him everywhere (that he fits…he’s 125lbs).
Love your Feb cover! I think women appreciate the fact that you a are healthy-looking model and that you have curves!
awwww I have an Italian Greyhound too!!!! His name is Enzo and he’s 9 months! I totally agree with the article that was posted on teddy hilton, it really does prepare you for parenthood!
(In case you don’t know about this site and) if you want to get some great information, go to iggyplanet.com; there is all sorts of stuff on there for Iggy owners!
Enjoy her, she’s gorgeous!
