My dad owns a construction company and works a lot with tractors so I’ve grown up around them my whole life. I never, in a million years, thought someday I’d be laying in a tractor bucket, in a bikini, for Sports Illustrated! This is a Polaroid of the tractor bucket set-up. The actual shot that ended up in the mag was a double-page of me laying horizontal, but this is the position I started in.
In this photo, I’m getting ready to shoot the blanket set-up. The sunset was gorgeous this day. It helped get my mind off the enormous grasshoppers all around me!!!
This photo is of Pia and I getting ready to leave for location. She was the make-up artist and did an awesome job. We had some really early mornings together. One morning it was 3:30am. I’m also wearing one of my favorite t-shirts here.
They made this diamond “M” necklace for the shoot and I got to keep it!

The natural look is the most beautiful!
Thank you so much for posting these amazing photos!! I hope you have more exclusive pics of your SI shoots. I used to love when a new swimsuit issue came out because I knew I was guaranteed to see Marisa in a bikini. Ha, what more do you need?!
There’s something about that magazine that makes it so different from everything else. Hope you go back one day *fingers crossed*
Marisa, thank you very very much for these photos – love them ! Especially the 4th one
The ‘M’ necklace is cute,aw ! And I just can’t get over how gorgeous the light was…
Always interesting to read all the ‘behind – the -scenes’ stories and comments, thank you for sharing.
All the best, looking forward to see more

Hi Marisa!
Thanks for these great shots and this blog you have started. I really admire your attitude and personality. You are very beautiful, no doubt. But your inner beauty makes you even more beautiful! I think you have such a great view on things and are one of those people spreading love and positive energy. The world needs more people like you in it! Hopefully your energy rubs off on many, that kind of influence does change the world.
Cheers to you!
Pammy xoxo
Well said, Pammy. My sentiments, too. Marisa is a light in the world.
Hi, Marisa!
I love your new blog. You are such an inspiration. I love watching your interviews on TV and reading articles that feature you. I especially liked your Cosmo and Shape magazine articles because they talked a lot about being healthy/fitness. I’m trying to become healthier and you are my role model for that. I look forward to future posts.

i Love you marisa! =]♥
I love the lighting on the second one, on of course the gal.
Much love to you.
btw I was wondering why didn’t you appear on the last one…SI will never be the same
cleopatrudo, Marisa said on the forum that she wanted to finish on top, so that’s why she didn’t do SI this year. Once you’ve got the cover, there’s not much more you can achieve with SI.
I love you come see me.
why you didint do the 2009 SI issue? i was sad
Hei Marisa!
